The Rides

Expand All Days Close All Days

Day 1—Jueves: Bienvenidos a Valle De Guadalupe

Welcome Valle de Guadalupe

You will be picked up from our meeting point on the US side of the border and after a 90 minute luxury coach ride you will arrive at our Boutique Hotel in the heart of Valle de Guadalupe. Upon arrival you will experience a proper Mallorca Luxury Cycling welcome party by your hosts Joel and Manuel. While the logistics are taken care of by the staff such as check in and bringing your bags to your room you will be shown around the grounds while you enjoy a tapas and drinks welcome party.

The first day will be topped off by a laidback and friendly prepared dinner by our resident private chef all under the soothing and soulful melodies of one of Baja California’s Mexican musicians.

Day 2—Viernes: Vamos al Valle

After breakfast, it’s time to straddle your bike and get behind your US champion guide, Joel and set your sights on the rolling hills and countryside of Valle de Guadalupe. It is here along winding roads that you will begin to form a picture of the experiences that lay ahead of you. But there will be little time for such contemplation as you tick off the kilometers and let your mind wander and follow the horses and livestock along the way. Your full-service support vehicle will always be following for any needs. But there is no time to relax yet as we return to our hotel to clean up and go to our first winery for a fantastic lunch and wine tasting.

Day 3: Sábado: Pedal for Paella

Today we will ride the famous Coastal Ride which will take us through wine country and onto the breathtaking pacific coast of Baja California. As we meander along the cliffs and through small Mexican beach towns, we will stop along the way to taste some local delicacies. Returning back to the hotel its time for a special Mezcal and Tequila tasting and history lesson. Tonight, is the grand finale culminating with Chef Manuel’s famous Paella. As we talk about the things we have experienced with our new friends we will watch as Chef Manuel prepares his Paellla. Of course plenty of tapas and drinks will be at hand as we hang out and enjoy the Paella preparation.

Day 4: Domingo: Adios Amigos !

New friends and great memories have been made. Alas it’s not Adios but Hasta Luego.

Breakfast and one last short ride through the Valle. Upon return we will have lunch and we will load up into the luxury vans and drive you to the Border and accompany you through the US Border control and back to your car.

And so we say with confidence and minimal sadness Hasta Luego, until we see you again, for there is seldom a rider who has passed through the hospitality of Mallorca Luxury Cycling that hasn’t left a small part of his heart with us for safe keeping until we meet again.

Our luxury van service will be picking you up and dropping you off at private parking facility on the US side of the border at Otay Mesa.

Wait times at the vehicle border crossing from Mexico into the USA can be excruciatingly long ruining a great weekend. When returning to the US our private van service will bring you all the way to the front of the line at the Otay Mesa border crossing where you will then disembark and pass through US Customs and a short to your parked car.

Our staff will accompany you across the border and assist you with your bike and luggage. We highly discourage you from driving into Mexico for our trip. We want your last souvenir with us to be a pleasant short walk across the border rather than a 4 hour wait in line to cross the border in your car. Please contact us should you have a special reason to drive into Mexico with your own vehicle.
